Cholula

On our way to dinner we acquired some giant sparklers. There just so happened to be a festival in the main square of Cholula.

The next morning we went for breakfast and tried out our terrible Espanol.

The main square where our breakfast was consumed.

Afterwards we climbed the many stairs to the church. The Spanish built this church upon an ancient pyramid which was covered with dirt.

The air was noticeably thin. That is what I kept saying however I knew it was mostly because i was unfit.

There was a pretty good view of Cholula from up there.

Exploring the streets on our way to the market to buy some food for dinner.

Chicken is displayed a tad differently here. You just want to grab it and put it in a fridge.

Jess with her flowers adding even more colour to the colourful streets.

Hanging in la casa de Jess & Yosha.

Happy after waiting ever so patiently for our lunch.

Magical sunset from the roof top of Jess and Yosha's place, notice the volcano to the right.

Liam and I ate many a quesadilla and drank much fresh jugo de naranja in this tarp covered restaurant on the corner.

Container city. A bunch of boutique shops in shipping containers including a bakery and a bar.

Today was last day that Yosha and Lauren were teaching English to kids at school, so they had invited Liam, Jess and i to join in on some final lessons and activities/fiesta. It was weird standing in front of a class of so many eyes staring at u knowing that they had know idea what u were saying. I walked around and tried to help them out with simple questions like what is your name? and where are you from? one kid had written he was from pizza which i thought was awesome. After questions time we took them out to the school yard to play some games such as duck duck goose and pass the parcel. The task of explaining to them the rules was difficult, well actually just getting them to stand in a circle was the first complication but we managed it eventually. We gave them a demonstration of how it worked but they kinda just adapted there own rules and they had fun!!! lots of junk food was consumed and smiles were to be had, was a great day for both us and the kids!!!

Lounging in one of the many bars in Cholula listening to live music.

One of Jess and Yosha's friends played in a ska band.

Liam bought me some tequila for my B'day, it came with the most ridiculous shot glass ever.

On the night of my B'day there was a uni party on in one of the bars.

After a day or two of recovering from my B'day celebrations, Liam and I went and explored the tunnels under the giant Pyramid that was two blocks from Jess and Yosha's place.

Stairs.

Being the end of semester for uni there was another party.

Wish the sunset looked like that off my roof!
