The Quilotoa loop is beautiful, the way of life up there seems so simple and peaceful, i made my way to the crater lake for a night and then missioned down to Banos to celebrate New years, the whole time i was in Banos i kept thinking about how i should have stayed up there and did the whole loop. I thought about it enough that i decided that i had to go back. I met a dutch girl whilst in Banos that was also thinking about doing the loop. As i had previously missioned from Quilotoa i knew the way back, So we jumped a bus to Ambato which dropped us at some random bus stop, this was no part of my plans, the last time i past through there was definitely a bus terminal, but a quick taxi ride remedied that problem and then onwards to Latacunga.

Upon arrival in Latacunga it rained, so heavy i was unsure about continuing the whole way to Quilotoa that day. We missioned to Hostal/cafe Tiana where we had heard we could leave our rucksacks until we finished walking the loop. The staff there were really helpful, giving us some instruction sheets that were to direct us between the villages. The rain settled down, so with just our daypacks back to the bus stop we went and got onto a bus to sit and wait until enough people came along to fill it up, this turned out not to be too much of a problem as i think extra people were booked into seats that were already taken and this little old lady got booted off the bus, i felt bad cause it was my seat she was sitting in and it felt like it was my fault she wasn't making it home on that bus that afternoon, and she lived there and i was just a silly gringo......
