The explanation

Today was the day we had to find the immigration office and try to explain how and why the now 5 crew having left the captain to fix the boat got ourselves to the shores of Colombia and not previously had our passports stamped. It was fun Tarik the Swiss doctor could speak french and only the real basics of Spanish, Rosey our usual communications officer was stuck trying to explain but to no real avail until a french guy came in who could speak Spanish, so as a collective group we decided what to say about our situation then Tarick would tell the french dude and then the french dude would pass it on to the immigration officer. The officer sat thinking for a bit i think just for effect and then decided to stamp our passports. Relieved we went to eat shawarmas at a shop we had passed on the way but found that they did not serve that dish at that particular time of day, frustrated I ordered a sandwich and chowed that down before you could say the word buffalo!!!!
